What is a flyknit / knit upper?

Knit / flyknit upper

A knit (flyknit-type) upper is knitted from yarn into a one-piece, sock-like upper. It is extremely light, flexible and breathable with minimal seams and waste, used in performance and lifestyle sneakers.

Knitting builds the upper as a single engineered piece, varying stitch density for stretch, support and ventilation while reducing cutting waste and seams.

It gives a snug, sock-like fit prized in running and lifestyle footwear.

DOING develops knit uppers for athletic and lifestyle lines, paired with Strobel construction and tuned midsoles.
