What is microfiber synthetic leather?

Microfiber (synthetic leather)

Microfiber is a high-grade synthetic leather made from ultra-fine fibres in a polyurethane matrix. It looks and feels close to real leather but is lighter, more consistent, easier to clean and animal-free — used in sports, safety and vegan footwear.

Microfiber outperforms basic PU synthetics in durability, breathability and abrasion resistance, and is more uniform than natural leather.

It is popular for performance, safety and vegan lines that want a leather look without animal materials.

DOING uses microfiber where a durable, consistent, animal-free leather alternative is needed and tests abrasion and tear strength.
