What is MOQ in footwear manufacturing?
MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)
MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) is the smallest quantity a factory will produce for an order, set to cover material and setup costs. In footwear it is given per style and per colour. DOING’s MOQ is 1,000 pairs/style and 300–600 pairs/colour, with low-MOQ sampling.
MOQ exists because tooling, material purchasing and line setup carry fixed costs that need a minimum run to be viable. It is normally quoted per style and per colourway.
Lower MOQs let brands test designs but usually carry a higher unit price.
DOING runs a 1,000 pairs/style, 300–600 pairs/colour MOQ with low-MOQ sampling so you can validate a design before a full production run.
