Supplying complex uppers and high-end outsoles to Indian running-shoe brands as semi-finished components

The challenge

Demand for mid- to high-end running shoes is growing fast among Indian brands. But to comply with India’s local-manufacturing requirements (including BIS quality-control orders), the finished shoes have to be assembled in India. The catch: many local factories cannot produce the complex, multi-process uppers these running shoes need, and they lack the capability to develop high-end outsoles. Brands needed a China partner who could develop and supply those parts as semi-finished components — ready for local assembly — and guide their teams through processes they had never run before.

What we did

• Several of these brands found us directly on LinkedIn and reached out
• Developed the complex, multi-process running-shoe uppers their local factories could not make
• Developed and tooled the high-end outsoles — from drawings and 3D last confirmation to trial and final mould
• Supplied the work as semi-finished components — uppers and outsoles ready for final assembly in India
• Provided hands-on technical support so their teams could handle special processes they were unfamiliar with
• Ran the full process end to end — design → sample → production → shipment

Results

• Enabled the brands to meet India’s local-manufacturing rules while getting China-level upper and outsole quality
• Solved their core gap: complex upper construction and high-end outsole development
• Now working with multiple Indian brands and factories on a stable, repeat basis
