- Baby shoes (pre-walker)
- Soft-sole, seam-light builds with no hard edges inside. Sizing is the whole game at this age — we grade from your chosen size table and confirm inside length on the sample, not just the size stamp.
- Toddler shoes
- First-walker builds need flexible forefoot, secure heel hold and easy on/off (hook-and-loop over laces). We flex-test the finished shoe so the sole stays flexible instead of stiffening after a few weeks.
- Children shoes
- The volume tier for most retail programmes. Same last family across several styles keeps fit consistent and tooling cost down across a range.
- School shoes
- Black leather or PU uppers, scuff-resistant toe, non-marking outsole, and durability that survives a full term. Retail chains usually specify a wear test — tell us which one and we build to it.
- Kids sneakers
- Vulcanized, cemented or injection builds scaled to child lasts. Light weight matters more than in adult sneakers; we weigh the confirmed sample as part of approval.

How we control quality on every kids' shoe order
Materials and finished shoes are built to documented physical-testing and QC standards — aligned to Chinese national (GB) and international norms — with a 6-stage quality process and final AQL inspection before shipment.
Physical testing
Infant footwear (≤ size 30) gets category-specific safety tests; materials are checked against child-safety limits (e.g. CPSIA lead/phthalates, EN 71-3) where your market requires.

Kids' Shoes — buyer questions
What chemical and safety compliance applies to children’s footwear?
It depends on the destination market. The EU commonly requires REACH restrictions plus EN 71-3 migration limits on accessible parts for younger age groups; the US requires CPSIA, which covers lead content and, for applicable components, phthalates. California Prop 65 adds its own warning thresholds. Tell us the markets you sell into and we build the material list and testing plan against those rules rather than a generic one.
How do you handle small parts and choking-hazard risk?
Decorative elements, eyelets, toggles and appliqués on footwear for young children are subject to attachment-strength testing, because the risk is a part coming off rather than the part itself. We specify attachment method at design stage and test pull strength on the production sample — retro-fitting a decoration that fails pull testing usually means re-tooling the upper, not just re-gluing it.
What construction suits first-walkers versus school shoes?
First-walker and toddler shoes need a highly flexible, thin sole and a soft upper that does not restrict the foot, with easy hook-and-loop entry. School shoes need durability, a firmer heel counter and abrasion resistance at the toe. They are effectively two different lasts and two different sole specs — treating them as one range is the most common cause of fit complaints in this category.
How is sizing graded for children’s ranges?
Children’s size runs cover a wide range in a short span of foot length, so grading is proportionally more sensitive than adult footwear. We sample at a reference size, then confirm fit at both ends of the curve before the full run is graded. Width also matters more than buyers expect — a single width across a broad size run is where returns come from.
What do you test before children’s footwear ships?
Attachment strength on all accessible parts, sole flex and bond strength, colorfastness to rubbing and, where the market requires it, chemical migration through accredited third-party labs (SGS, Intertek, BV-type). Testing runs against the approved production sample, and for regulated markets it should run in parallel with sampling rather than after it.

Both. With OEM we build to your design and specs; with ODM we develop new designs with you from concept. We also do private-label branding, labels and packaging.
